About
Good test prep shouldn't
cost a month's rent.
blueberry is a free digital SAT and PSAT prep app built around a simple idea: the students who most need score improvement are usually the ones who can least afford to pay for it.
Why we built it
Private SAT tutoring runs anywhere from $60 to $200 an hour, and the well-known prep courses aren't far behind. That pricing quietly decides who gets to walk into the exam prepared and who walks in hoping. The test is supposed to measure what you know. Too often it measures what your family could spend.
At the same time, the SAT moved to a digital, adaptive format, and most prep material didn't really follow. A great deal of what's sold as "digital SAT prep" is still a PDF question set with a countdown timer attached. It drills the content, but it leaves the format itself as a surprise on test day — and the format is a real part of the difficulty.
blueberry exists to close both gaps at once: prep that costs nothing to start, and practice that behaves like the actual exam.
What we believe
Free should be genuinely useful
The free tier includes every full-length practice test, the entire question bank, and all the drills. Nothing about the actual studying is paywalled — Pro only lifts the daily ceiling on AI usage, which is the part that costs us money to run.
Format fidelity is content
Two-stage adaptive modules, the built-in Desmos calculator, the official reference sheet, highlighting and annotation, real per-module timing. If the practice environment doesn't match, the score it produces doesn't mean much.
Explanations should teach
Being told you picked C when the answer was B teaches nothing. Every question comes with step-by-step reasoning, and when that still isn't enough, the AI Tutor will keep working through that exact problem with you.
How it works
You can take a full-length practice test that mirrors the real Bluebook experience end to end, or skip straight to Quick Practice and drill individual skills from the question bank. Either way, every attempt feeds a stats dashboard broken down by section and skill, so the next study session targets what's actually costing you points instead of whatever happens to come next in a book.
If you'd rather not create an account yet, Guest mode gives you most of the app with no signup at all. Your history stays in your own browser and never reaches our servers.
On privacy
We don't sell personal data, we don't run advertising, and we don't put ad-tracking on the site. Students are a young audience and a lot of them are minors, which we think raises rather than lowers the bar. What we collect and why is written out plainly in our Privacy Policy.
Independence
blueberry is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the College Board, and SAT and PSAT/NMSQT are trademarks registered by the College Board. We build practice material designed to match the published format of the digital exam; we have no relationship with the organization that administers it.
